As part of a multi-phase redevelopment at Durham Cathedral, OAG installed two contemporary automatic glass swing doors and infill glass to the arches to create a minimal framed glass wall and to provide clear access to the new Cathedral shop and restaurant. Helping maintain the heritage of these vaulted undercrofts, OAG used concealed motion sensors located within the floor space. Additionally an existing side door was also automated using motion sensors, successfully minimising the impact on the architectural heritage of the external façade.
OAG are currently installing 5m high DGU panels at 1- Stephen Street for main contractor Balfour Beatty. Project Architect is ORMS.
