Since opening to the public for the first time in its nearly 90-year history, Battersea Power Station has become a high-end shopping and entertainment centre. Two years have passed since this iconic building began its new chapter, and we’re proud to have played a pivotal role in its refurbishment.
Our team was entrusted with ensuring that this iconic landmark would not only stand the test of time but also serve as an exciting leisure, retail and cultural destination. This involved preserving the power station’s majestic Art Deco features while seamlessly incorporating modern elements to transform it into a world-class retail and residential destination.
Our contribution to an iconic revival
We specialise in delivering high-performance glazing systems for large-scale projects, and Battersea Power Station was no exception. Working on Phase 2 of the development, we provided and installed state-of-the-art glazing systems that enhanced the building’s aesthetic while maintaining its industrial character.
Our work included bespoke structural glazing solutions for the new retail and public spaces, offering both durability and aesthetic clarity. As a building that is now home to restaurants, retail units, and modern living spaces, ensuring optimal light flow and energy efficiency through our advanced façade solutions was paramount.
We also contributed to the restoration of this industrial masterpiece by installing glazed roofs to both the Boiler House and Turbine Hall. Originally installed in the 1930s, these heritage roofs were faithfully restored using bespoke systems developed to replicate the original profiles.
