OAG Ltd is pleased to announce that we have achieved certification to the ISO 45001 health and safety management systems standard. This certification has been achieved following an update to our health and safety management system and the completion of the two-stage audit by bmtrada, one of the world’s leading independent providers of testing, inspection and certification services. OAG chose to wait for the new standard rather than base it on the old OHSAS 18001 as it enabled us to take a standard approach across the company’s managements systems identifying any interested parties and all the aspects and impacts within the context to our business.
“With this achievement alongside our certification to ISO9001 and 14001 it is a clear statement that OAG Ltd is continually striving for improvement, whilst ensuring not just our product quality but also the health, safety and well-being of our staff and those that could be affected by our works is maintained.”
Richard Woollard – HQSE Director

ISO 45001 was developed with consideration of other related standards, such as OHSAS 18001, Occupational health and safety management, the International Labour Organization’s ILO-OSH 2001 guidelines and various national standards, and is consistent with the ILO’s international labour standards and conventions. Developed under the ISO system, with the input of experts from more than 70 countries, it provides an international framework that takes into account the interaction between an organization and its business environment. ISO 45001 adopts a risk-based approach that ensures it is effective and undergoes continual improvement to meet an organization’s ever-changing context.
In 2019, OAG were also awarded with the ROSPA Gold Award – Royal Society for the prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), to read more about this please click here.
