We are delighted to have worked closely with the project team to ensure the all the internal and external glazed shop fronts where ready for the Station’s phase 2 opening on 29th August 2016. In addition, we completed glazed infill’s to the stations external façade.
The design had to cater for the required bomb blast mitigation on both the internal and external shop fronts along with the glass façade.
We worked hand in hand with a number of other subcontractors to overcome a variety of different interface and compatibility issues. The redevelopment is part of Network Rail’s railway upgrade plan and the government-sponsored Thameslink programme which will transform north-south travel through London by 2018.
Read the updated project focusing on the conclusion of this development, we were delighted on New Years Day to see the conclusion of our work at London Bridge Station. With the first two phases being primarily focused around shop fronts & security glazing, we were excited to see the completion of our 275m long two phase façade on Tooley street.
In collaboration with Costain, we have installed multilevel façade glazing, with the upper tier consisting of our gorgeous curved façade and the lower, our double height stacked bomb blast glazing.
