PRE-CONTRACT ENGAGEMENT
Collaboration through a PCSA or other method can bring many benefits to the project.

Early engagement allows the clients team to fully interact with the design process, making it more efficient as we design together and collaboratively.

We design to the cost plan and flag early elements which will involve more expenditure. We can explore potential value engineering ideas and more sustainable options within the early stages, focusing on what would be acceptable rather than providing a list of options. This then enables us to control the budget and design and amend to suit. It also ensures that designs are buildable as we develop logistics and methodology aspects alongside the design process.

We can also bring our supply chain into the process earlier, tapping into their knowledge and capabilities. By doing this we get up-to-date advice on long lead material periods and highlight and potentially secure manufacturing slots well in advance.

The design approval process through regular workshops and guidance, prevent unnecessary changes, enabling us to gain design sign off more swiftly and giving the opportunity to head into procurement and manufacturing earlier.

This allows us to reduce any programme risks and enables earlier start on-site times. This approach also permits additional time within programmes for visual and performance mock-ups, sampling and testing periods, as they can be procured and carried out much sooner.

PRE-CONTRACT ASSISTANCE
If formal pre-contact engagement is not possible, we can still provide valuable up-front high-level assistance.

We provide support to architects and consultants at the conceptual design stage, issuing advice and guidance on available options for product selection.

In addition, we provide valuable information to assist in writing the specification along with giving some initial background technical information.

We engage with cost plan consultants and client’s teams to help verify budgets and supply high-level advice on options. This can be from existing data on past projects or in some cases for specific bespoke areas, using market information and our in-house knowledge and expertise.

On certain projects we can attend site to advise on existing elements and possible methodology options available.

PLANNING, PROCUREMENT AND DELIVERY
A collaborative approach to logistics planning, risk analysis and procurement will ensure the project is delivered successfully.

Our project teams highlight key risk areas in order that they can be managed, with the aim of reducing the exposure right from the start.

Our project programme highlights each phase of the journey, through design and engineering, procurement, manufacturing and into installation on-site. Planning and risk management are critical aspects to each project which our delivery teams manage closely.

Logistics and methodology planning starts from the beginning and runs in parallel through each phase of the process.

We see our supply chain as an extension to our team and we actively encourage their involvement throughout the journey. Regular meetings and factory inspections to view and monitor the quality of the materials being produced, forms a big part of the overall delivery vehicle.

We have a robust and relevant set of procedures, which our site delivery teams follow to ensure we achieve the highest end quality product. This involves inspection test plan, benchmarking and close out procedures specific to the project.

We have a reputation for delivering complex projects through a flexible and non-confrontational approach.

AFTER SALES SERVICE / MAINTENANCE
Post completion, we provide the highest level of aftercare possible, maximising the performance and safety of your glazing.

Our OAG Select division provides support after and beyond the main build process.

We offer maintenance to dovetail into planned maintenance strategies to ensure that our clients have the means to continue the journey.

Doors and fire products require regular servicing and it’s important that these are fully inspected and warranties are maintained.

Our smaller works division can also offer support with any future changes, such as replacements or adaptations.

We provide an aftercare service for our clients throughout the life cycle of their glazing elements.
