You’ll find our glazing throughout the Canary Wharf Crossrail terminal and its shopping areas.
This prestigious project involved the installation of glass in the new Crossrail Station built at Canary Wharf, which was part of the wider expansion of the Crossrail network. The first of the new stations, our work included the design and installation of glazed shopfronts, glass fire doors, sliding stacking glass doors, glass wall linings, balustrades, and smoke reservoirs.
It was a vanguard piece for the architectural firms Foster & Partners and Adamsons Associates and the design, delivery, installation and finish had to be just right.
We inherited the project from another firm and had to leap in, review the designs, works and materials and then ensure it could be completed on time and on budget.

Access was another issue, the glazing for the shop fronts on levels two and three was too large for the material hoist on site. Therefore we brought in a mini crane and using a slimline glass vacuum lifter guided the glass sheets through a 30cm gap between the floor and the side of the escalator.
