Project Story
Updating the reception areas at City Tower, we were able to bring some elegant refinements to the building.
With its broad, modern portico entrance, City Tower is a 21-storey office building offering premium space in the city. Its original entrance was looking a little dated and cramped, so in the recent update the architects at ORMS wanted something minimal that allowed plenty of light into the area.
The revolving door into the main reception area beneath the building leads through to the lifts and beside it are two white, glazed panels concealing the parking area. In the entrance area, the walls are finished with impressive sandblasted mirrored glass, complete with strips of LED lighting between the panes, also installed by us.
An annex to the reception area contains a ramp up to the first floor, with flush balustrading that seems to float along the lines of the architecture.

Full height curtain wall glazing on the first floor of the building separates the ground floor activity from the offices above and is nicely finished with a strip of modesty screening across the lower section to make the space more pleasant for the building’s occupants.
