Project Story
Hackney Britannia Leisure Centre is part of the Hackney Britannia project, built by Morgan Sindall.
We were commissioned to design, supply and install Sika Tak adhered glass wall panels with black Vanceeva interlayer within the leisure centre.
Our design had to coordinate carefully with Mitsubishi Lifts to ensure our glass cut outs were correct for the lift call buttons and hall indicators etc. The flawless quality of our glass panels was critical as they were fully illuminated by the overhead “barrisol“ stretch ceiling. All Contractors involved were pleased with the end result.
The project’s use of Sika glass bonding adhesives prompted us to update our Contractor training. The Sika training officer delivered on-line training of the latest Sika Tak application methods to ensure that the installation was strictly in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines.
