The Post Building

Fire rated doors and screens, bespoke ‘Reeded Glass’ and lift lobby glazing make up the majority of our work in Holborn’s Post Building redevelopment

Project Story

Fire rated doors & screens, bespoke ‘Reeded Glass’ and lift lobby glazing make up the majority of our work in Holborn’s Post Building redevelopment. We were contracted back in 2017 by long term collaborators Laing O’Rourke.

The project consisted of multi-storey interior glazing in this new restored commercial office space. The client also required maximum fire protection throughout their 11 floors, so we installed EI120 fire doors & screens, which cover both integrity and insulation fire protection for 120 minutes through our Fortiglaze fire rated glazing system.

Due to the versatility of the Fortiglaze range we were able to install a range of door heights, side screens, over panels and handle options throughout the lift lobbies. This was installed to prevent any spread of fire through the building via the lift shafts.

Inside the lift lobbies we installed bespoke ‘Reeded Glass’, aside and overhead lift door openings.  In addition, we also installed double height lift lobby over panels on the ground floor and a reception entrance balustrade.
