Project Story
We were asked to replace nearly 400 glass balustrade panels over 5 floors at Holland Park School. The original glass wasn’t up to specification and the school had installed safety netting around the glass balustrades to ensure pupils and staff remained safe in the event of a breakage.
OAG Select removed the faulty glass and replaced it with laminated safety glass, to absorb the force of any accidental impact and minimise the risk of injuries.
We worked with May Glass Recycling to help recycle almost 3 tons of glass. We were also able to recycle the timber used to hold the safety netting in place. The Highgate Newtown Community Centre used the timber for a number of projects throughout the community, including making flowerboxes for the elderly.
