We’re pleased to announce that we’ve been chosen by Mace to help refurbish the Woolgate HQ building in the City of London.
The nine-storey building has been reimagined by leading architecture practice Stiff + Trevillion to meet the needs of modern occupiers. This includes the introduction of a new 1,500 sq ft rooftop pavilion boasting unique views of St Paul’s Cathedral and the City tower cluster.
The renovated building will feature multiple private terraces spanning over 17,500 sq ft and the current reception area leading onto Basinghall Street will be enlarged and a new entrance created on Coleman Street.
The development is targeting net zero carbon in both construction and operation thanks to an ambitious reuse and retention strategy, which seeks to preserve 98% of the existing structure.
To the existing structure, we will replace nearly 400 windows and powder-coat the current frames on-site.
We will install a eight storey framed atrium using Hydro CIRCAL 75R recycled aluminium. The same recycled aluminium will also be used for the curtain walls and high-performance sliding doors to the new retail and terrace areas, plus roof top pavilion, louvres and rainscreen cladding.
We will also be installing a new steel framed main entrance with revolving doors, plus a steel and glass rooflight.
Construction on the landmark building has already begun. Find out more about our works here.
