The Northcliffe is a Grade II listed building located just off Fleet Street. Originally the headquarters and printing facility for the Daily Mail, it has been completely refurbished and extended into a 7-storey modern office space.
Within the atrium from the lower ground to level 6 we designed and installed glazed projecting pods framed with rainscreen cladding panels. On levels 1 and 4 we provided glazed balconies to the atrium with curtain wall to the rear.
On Tudor Street we installed the glazed main entrance with circular sliding doors. For access between the reception and atrium we installed a control portal framed powered opening door.
We also installed aluminium framed screens and a backlit curtain wall screen in the grand reception lobby area. In addition, we fitted aluminium framing to the core lifts from lower ground to level 7 to retain the Art Deco look, plus glazed curtain walling and glazing to the scenic lifts facing into the atrium.
