Project Story
Situated in Mayfair, overlooking Berkeley Square, Berkeley Square House has been transformed into a modern office suite.
Having completed the demolition phase of the existing glass canopy, roof light, external and internal façades, along with associated steelwork, Phase 2 of this ambitious project encompassed several crucial components aimed at enhancing both the aesthetic appeal and functionality of Berkley Square.
The focal points of this phase included the installation of a new primary steel structure for the roof, main façade, and internal draught lobby. Central to our efforts was the installation of the roof light, which incorporated a blend of double-glazed units and insulated panels, complemented by cosmetic caps and silicone joints. Additionally, a new gutter with perimeter flashings was seamlessly integrated to ensure optimal performance and durability.
The main façade underwent a remarkable transformation with the installation of a Schuco FWS60 curtain wall. This sophisticated system featured bespoke perimeter pressings and was equipped with automatic and bi-parting sliding doors, along with pocket screens, to enhance accessibility and functionality.

Similarly, the internal draught lobby received a makeover with the implementation of a Schuco FWS60 curtain wall system. This was outfitted with automatic and bi-parting sliding doors and pocket screens, featuring single-glazed units, perimeter flashings, and cosmetic caps, ensuring a seamless blend of aesthetics and practicality.
This magnitude project presented its own set of challenges, particularly in logistics and space constraints. Collaborating closely with Overbury, we meticulously planned various road and pavement closures to facilitate the works, ensuring minimal disruption to surrounding areas. Despite limited working access, our team rose to the occasion, demonstrating exceptional adaptability and resourcefulness to overcome these obstacles.
“The on-site installation team were great, we were impressed by the level of Health and Safety and the ease of high-level installation. You have a very competent team that are good at problem solving.”
Brendon Fehr, Overbury
