Project Story
The Forge is a Grade A office space located behind the Tate Modern on Bankside. Made up of two office buildings called Bronze and Phosphor, The Forge is set around a courtyard and replaces a 1980s warehouse and office building.
We’re honoured to have supported Landsec with this ground-breaking project, to deliver the UK’s first Net Zero Carbon commercial development.
To the Bronze building, we installed a selection of EI60 fire-rated Forster Fuego Light single and portico doors with sidelights, plus a non-fire-rated Forster Fuego double door with sidelights to the ground floor reception area.
We also installed a mix of non-fire-rated and EI60 fire-rated Forster Thermafix Vario screens to the mezzanine level in the Bronze building and to the mezzanine and ground floor in the Phosphor building, as well as Forster Presto non-fire-rated doors to the ground floor screens in the Phosphor building.
We also installed metal spandrel panels with insulation above all of the screens in both buildings.
