160 Queen Victoria Street

Comprehensive refurbishment for BNY Mellon's UK head office

Project Story

Sitting on the site formerly occupied by The Times newspaper, 160 Queen Victoria Street is now home to the UK head office of BNY Mellon, including flexible workspace and a trading floor.

Following demolition of the existing main entrance, we designed and engineered the new curtain wall façade. We used laser cut Montanstahl mullions to deliver a sharp contour and installed two Tormax automated doors.

We also installed a stunning entrance canopy with gutter and an Amron perforated sheet soffit.

Project Story Continued

Internally, we installed atrium doors to the lower ground level, three fire doors on the first floor and several glass screens on the mezzanine, including a 30-minute glass fire screen.

Further up the building, we installed terrace doors to the 4th floor and a 4-sided curtain wall around the sunken staircase on the 6th floor, with door access onto the roof.
