An example of how we can give massive architectural appeal to something as simple as a building entranceway…
We brought a whole range of glazing additions to the building at 199 Bishopsgate, the most impressive of which is the portico doorway structure. At 7.5m in height and finished in black anodised metal, it makes an instant impression on anyone visiting the building. With completely flat surfaces, squared edges and corners. This made it a challenge to put the portico together, but the finished effect was worth it.
Centred in the portico is another dramatic feature. Between the two revolving door units we installed a mirrored stainless-steel clad column the full height of the portico. This makes the entrance area even more striking both internally and externally.

Project Story Continued
Left and right of the portico we installed full height glazing and at one end of the entrance area there are protruding windows matching the rest of the glass and framing work. We also fitted curtain wall glazing around the curved section of the building where its entrance used to be, infilling the old door area.
