Project Story
Originally designed by Foster & Partners over 20 years ago, 50 Finsbury Square is undergoing a complete refurbishment and redevelopment by Mace in conjunction with architects Doone Silver Kerr.
As one of the principle sub-contractors on this project, our work includes the design and installation of the double-height stacked curtain wall glazing to the ground floor main entrance façade. The glazing will extend up to 8 metres high and integrate with the existing upper-level façade originally installed by Focchi.
We are also designing and installing the framed curtain wall glazing and doors to the ground floor retail units, the internal slab-edge glazed balustrades and full height glazing within the central atrium floor plate extensions, a framed and unitised curtain wall to the new level 8 roof terrace pavilion with automated Cortizo sliding doors, a louvred plant enclosure to the new roof plant room and external glazed balustrading to the level 8 roof and level 6 terrace areas.
Design work commenced in February 2021 and we expect works to be complete by this summer.
