Soho Place

Significant glazing work to this new mixed-use building close to the new Tottenham Court Road Crossrail Station

Project Story

Soho Place is a mixed-use building close to Tottenham Court Road Crossrail Station. The ten-storey building comprises retail and office space, plus a nine-storey building with office space above a 600-seat theatre.

To building ‘A’ we installed non-fire rated glazed screens to the lift shafts and the feature staircase. The bespoke Raico curtainwall system installed was off-set with feature transoms to allow the window wetting system to function in the event of a fire. The system comprises of bespoke T-mullion transoms and capping profiles.

We also installed a number of double slim EI60 doors to the lobbies plus oversized slim smoke only doors to the feature staircase.

To building ‘B’, we installed fire rated curtain walling to the office entrance and lift shaft on the ground floor, with a mix of Schueco Jansen EI120 and EI60 screens with bespoke featured capping and cladding panels.

We also installed non-fire rated lift entrance glazing to lifts 1 and 2 on level 5, formed from Schueco Jansen profiles and bespoke capping.
