Transformation of the former Waterloo International Eurostar terminal into a major new retail and leisure development

Project Story

The original home of Eurostar has been given a new lease of life and become a shopping, cultural and leisure destination.

The former Eurostar terminal has been transformed into a 130,000 sq ft retail development, providing a range of bars, shops and cafes, as well as an immersive theatre experience.

We designed and installed the forty new glass shop fronts to the prime retail units across three floors, including a mezzanine level that sits below the existing platforms.

Project Story Continued

Having worked closely with ISG in the past and our considerable experience in retail projects of this nature, we were asked to install gully glazed shop fronts and doors, together with back painted glass wall cladding and double height glazing to the atrium area.

As the works were to the underside of the terminal, this resulted in a number of engineering challenges in order to accommodate excessive slab movements and deflections.
