The original home of Eurostar will be given a new lease of life to be a shopping, cultural and leisure destination.
Forty new glass-fronted units will be created across three floors, including a mezzanine level to sit below the existing platforms.
Having worked closely with ISG in the past and our considerable experience in retail projects of this nature, we were asked to install gully glazed shop fronts and doors, together with back painted glass wall cladding and double height glazing to the atrium area.
As the works are to the underside of the terminal, this resulted in a number of engineering challenges in order accommodate excessive slab movements and deflections.
Our work is almost complete, the finishes to the circulation areas are in progress and internal fit-out works to the retail spaces will be started shortly.
