2 Ruskin Square

Part of the nine-acre Ruskin Square development in Croydon, 2 Ruskin Square will soon become home to The Home Office. 

The state-of-the-art and sustainable office building will provide a collaborative and enjoyable working environment for more than 5,000 civil servants.

As well as working on the original development at Ruskin Square, we were also commissioned to design and install various internal glazing works for the new development.

We installed ballistic glazing to the two ‘Tiger Trap’ or ‘Air Lock’ rooms to each side of the entrance gates, providing a high level of security in the ground floor reception area.

Overlooking the reception area, we also installed a number of EI120 fire-rated screens, plus E60 fire-rated door sets to the lift lobby areas.

At 42mm thick, the ballistic glass needed to be lifted into place with machinery, as well as the heavy EI120 glass.
