We took the opportunity to celebrate a milestone in the OAG story, one that sets us up for a bright future.
We have been specialising in architectural glass for the last two decades, yet it was apparent within the industry that a lot of confusion still surrounded the differentiation between us and Optima.
We spent considerable time assessing this situation and off the back of our recent growth, we took the decision to make OAG a separate limited company. We created a unique brand for us, while still allowing us to benefit from being part of the Optima group.
To mark this special occasion we decided that we should celebrate in style by holding a launch party to remember. Our chosen venue was the Booking Office Bar & Restaurant in London’s Renaissance St Pancras hotel. With its famous red brick walls and arches, plus the panelling and iron buttresses that house the restored former grand station café, it was certainly a suitably striking setting!
As well as the sheer scale being reflected in the soaring roof and 29-metre long bar, it also gave us the perfect opportunity to showcase some of our work. From the glass balustrades and glass walls in the main station to the glazed shop fronts in the retail concourse below, as you stroll through St Pancras station you’re surrounded by a wealth of our glazing.
Over 200 influential people from within the industry attended the party, enjoying the opportunity to catch up with friends, to network, and above all to have fun.
As well as plenty of food and drink throughout the evening, guests were treated to live music and we even had our own OAGin station with a unique selection of gins to sample.
We’d like to thank all of you who came along to support the launch of the new brand. It was a memorable evening and a great way to mark the start of an exciting new way forward for OAG Ltd.
