We’re proud to announce the completion of our first carbon footprint assessment, a key milestone in understanding and managing our environmental impact. By visualising our emissions, we now have a clear picture of where our operational carbon arises, giving the team a solid foundation to measure, manage and reduce our environmental footprint. This insight has provided valuable encouragement for the company to take further steps towards full carbon reporting and more sustainable operations.
In partnership with Audtel, we are now expanding our assessment to include all relevant emissions, including those from our supply chain (Scope 3), which often represent the largest proportion of a company’s carbon footprint. This new report will build on the initial focus on operational emissions (Scopes 1 & 2) and will be structured to comply with ISO 14064-1, as part of our journey to achieve verified carbon neutrality under ISO 14068-1.
The next stage of our sustainability journey is focused not just on measurement, but on meaningful action. Plans are underway to explore the installation of a more efficient gas boiler at our head office, which will help reduce direct Scope 1 emissions. Meanwhile, our large supply chain is being engaged to identify opportunities to reduce upstream Scope 3 emissions, ensuring that sustainability is embedded across all areas of the business.
By taking these steps, OAG is demonstrating its commitment to transparency, accountability and environmental responsibility. Our aim is not only to reduce emissions within our operations but also to influence positive change across the wider industry.
This first footprint is just the beginning. With a full carbon report in development, we are firmly on the path to becoming a more sustainable, responsible and forward-thinking organisation, helping to create a greener future for our team, our clients and our planet.
