We designed, supplied and installed various structural glazing and cladding elements to form a new retail and office area at 135 Bishopsgate.
The retail area of Broadgate is being redeveloped in conjunction with the Liverpool St Crossrail Station opening in 2019
Due to us being engaged early in the design process, the initial works involved providing a number of key component samples and a scaled visual mock-up of the ‘Feature Portal Cladding’. This allowed for review by the architects and main contractors, as well as assisting in the co-ordination of design interfaces. The cladding consisted of a blackened stainless steel with a debossed pattern.
Under the designs of Fletcher Priest, we installed bespoke galvanised cladding panels, various shop fronts and doors alongside double height glazing. On the first floor we installed full height glazing along the building perimeter and bespoke louvers. In addition, we were later contracted to install 12 floors of Fortiglaze doors and screens, with a varied mixture of different fire protection ratings to suit the needs of the building.
The project is due for completion later this year.
We thoroughly enjoyed working with SRM and Fletcher Priest on this project and look forward to collaborating with them in future.
